Between Jobs, Between Peaks, A Road Trip Ritual

Somewhere between one job and the next, I found myself pulled over on a quiet stretch of Colorado highway. The kind of road that hums with memory—yellow lines leading straight into the heart of the Sangre de Cristos, snow still clinging to the peaks like a whispered promise.

I stepped out, Canon in hand, and took the shot from the road’s perspective. Not just to capture the view, but to honor the feeling: that liminal space where work pauses and wonder begins. That’s where Trusty’s Golden Hour lives—in the in-between.

Later, I stopped at a lake. No schedule. No rush. Just me, the water, and the sky doing its dramatic thing. I stood there, tattoos catching the light, camera ready, heart full. This is what traveling between jobs looks like when you trust the road, trust the rhythm, trust the Trustys.

Every stop becomes a story. Every photo becomes a prayer. And every mile reminds me that legacy isn’t just built in the big moments—it’s stitched into the quiet ones, too.
